Rain Gardens

Rain gardens are the perfect blend of function and fashion. A rain garden is essentially a landscape bed that is designed to intentionally collect and hold stormwater while it is absorbed by plants and allowed to quickly infiltrate into the ground. Rain gardens are an effective and attractive solution for dealing with water from downspouts, excessive runoff from the neighbor’s property, or low areas in your yard that tend to stay soggy. The carefully selected native plant species that populate our rain gardens provide provide valuable habitat for native birds, pollinators, and other wildlife, while also providing color and beauty all season long.

Outdoor Living

Connecting with nature and spending time outdoors is important to a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Busy lives in an urban environment can make that challenging. We want to help make whatever outdoor greenspace you have be a comfortable place where you can play, relax, and escape. All of our landscapes are designed with an “always been there” style to provide natural, low-maintenance spaces that fit your desires and needs. We want you to feel like you’re a part of a healthy, natural outdoor ecosystem rather than simply being a visitor or spending all of your time trying to maintain order.

Habitat

We believe that all landscapes can and should benefit our environment rather than consuming time, money, and resources to simply look aesthetically pleasing. Using locally and regionally-native plant species in all of our landscapes, we strive to create mini ecosystems that support declining populations of native wildlife. As such, most of our plantings qualify for certification as Monarch Waystations or other habitat certifications, which we will obtain on your behalf for any new qualifying planting.
